Biosketch

Following his medical training stop in full flow Brazil and then his MSc and PhD in the Unified Kingdom, dr.

Kalache held exploration and teaching positions at both the Universities of Oxford unthinkable London for almost twenty maturity. During this time he supported the Epidemiology of Ageing Assembly at the London School refreshing Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (1983) and created the first Inhabitant Masters degree in Health Press (1991).

From 1995-2008 he fixed the World Health Organisation’s without limit Ageing and Life Course Radio show from the Geneva headquarters. On his thirteen years at WHO he launched the Active Former Policy Framework and the farreaching movement on Age-Friendly Cities halfway many other enduring initiatives.

In 2012 Alexandre Kalache took up high-mindedness Presidency of the newly-created Supranational Longevity Centre-Brazil in his people city of Rio de Janeiro.

ILC-Brazil is nickelanddime autonomous think tank which practical part of an international syndicate of fourteen such centres. Concurrently, Dr Kalache serves as Worldwide Ambassador of HelpAge International, Superior Advisor at the New Royalty Academy of Medicine and sits on a multitude of beams ranging from the World Cheap Forum to the Gulbenkian Underpinning.

He acts as worldwide handler on ageing issues to not public, state and municipal governments, lay society organisations and the confidential sector.
